It is difficult to quote an average price for a website due to the enormous range of requirements for a site. From our past experience and research, a designer might charge $1000 for a single page and up to $5000 for a full website (5-10 pages). Landpad websites start at $500 for a single page site but can increase depending on the complexity.

The length of time it takes to create a fully functional website is based on several factors. Custom design work can take anywhere from 1-6 weeks depending on the number of pages and the functionality required. Of course, these are general guidelines and we will make every effort to meet the timeframe that you have in mind.

Absolutely! In fact, we encourage it! We build your website on our development server and provide you with a URL link so that you can log in and monitor the progress of your site. During this phase, we encourage your feedback if something isn’t quite right or the way you envisioned it. Once your site is ready and you have provided your approval, we release it live to your hosting and submit your URL to the major search engines.

First, of course, you’ll need a website and the usual functional elements of a website, such as a contact form. For standard eCommerce functionality, you’ll need a few additional components: an SSL (Secure Socket Layer) certificate, a merchant account, a payment gateway, a back-end database for processing orders and storing customer information and a shopping cart solution. Landpad recommends Stripe or Paypal.

A domain name is a two-part web address, unique to your specific website. For example, our domain name is www.landpad.co.nz. While the first part is who you are the second part “.co.nz” is an SLD or Second-level Domain.

While the total length of a domain name can be up to 63 characters, the only characters allowed are letters, digits and the dash symbol. We recommend a domain name length under 8 characters for optimal SEO. (Search Engine Optimization)

The cost of a domain name is heavily influenced by the keyword used. On average a standard domain name can cost you $25 to $5000 per year whereas Premium domain names can cost up to $10,000 per year. At the moment, we do not host on our servers but can help you buy from one of the reputable NZ domain resellers such as www.onlydomains.co.nz

Once your domain name has been registered, it takes on average 48 hours before it is active. All internet providers must update their records to reflect new site locations.

Yes. You can purchase multiple domains and have them all pointing to the same hosting account.

For small projects, 50% of the estimated fee must be provided prior to beginning the work, with the remaining payment due upon completion. For larger projects, an initial payment representing one-third of the estimated total fee is required. The second payment is required upon the halfway point with the third and final due upon completion of the project.
